Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is hiring for Sr. Staff Engineer and Principal Engineer levels to work on high-performance SoCs, Linux kernel, boot firmware, and low-level software for pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to optimize existing code, enable new architectural features, and drive performance improvements, with relocation to Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a related field with extensive software engineering experience.
• 8+ years in software engineering; 6+ years in relevant higher-level roles depending on degree.
• Strong C/C++, assembly, kernel-level development, and Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define future high-performance SoCs and platforms with autonomy.
• Collaborate with performance teams to identify hardware optimization opportunities.
• Create optimizations and drivers for high-performance platforms.
• Ensure operating systems run efficiently and identify performance enhancements.
• Develop software for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation and debugging.
