Job summary

Solventum seeks a Principal Systems Engineer, Embedded R&D in San Antonio, TX. You will bridge Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Quality and V&V teams to shape system architecture and requirements for regulated medical devices.

Lead design reviews, verify designs, and contribute to regulatory submissions while ensuring risk management and traceability throughout development. Hybrid work with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and testing embedded medical devices.
• Ability to define system requirements and architecture in regulated settings.
• Familiarity with FDA/ISO product development processes.

Responsibilities

• Advise cross‑functional teams on new product development as the technical bridge across disciplines.
• Define and manage system requirements, interfaces and data flows with traceability.
• Lead design reviews and evaluate options based on performance and risk.
• Support risk management activities including DFMEA and ISO 14971 alignment.
