Akkodis is onsite in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area seeking Principal Embedded Aerospace Software Engineers to develop, modify, test, and document embedded software for military upgrades.

You will liaise with internal and external customers, managing requirements for avionics systems in a fast-paced defense program. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in aerospace/avionics/DoD environments using C/C++ or C#, with PC Lint, LDRA TestBed and VectorCast proficiency and DOORS experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
  • 5+ years embedded software design for Aerospace/Avionics/DoD weapons systems using C/C++ or C#.
  • Experience with PC Lint, LDRA TestBed and VectorCast.
  • Knowledge of DOORS with ability to link requirements to tests.
  • Familiarity with Agile SDLC and deriving software requirements and tests.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

ONSITE Principal Embedded Aerospace Software Software Engineers (Weapons Systems || LRAA)

ONSITE in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area

PROJECT SCOPE:
  • The Long-Range Assault Aircraft (LRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Our LRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The LRAA program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army’s tactical advantage in future conflicts. The LRAA team seeks the top engineering talents from around the industry to design, develop, and deliver the world’s next-generation military aircraft.
  • This position will be responsible for developing, modifying, testing and documenting embedded software environment requirements for military upgrade development programs, including managing and communicating requirements to internal and external customers. Position
  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate embedded software into avionics systems.
  • Plans, supports, and manages integration projects to meet customer requirements.
  • Works closely with other functional disciplines to ensure compliance to all critical performance parameters.
  • Suggests design improvements / spiral opportunities to improve current integrated weapon system capabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • MSCS/BSCS or related 4-years degree
  • 5+ years of embedded software & systems design & development for Aerospace/Avionics/DoD weapons systems using either C/C++ or C#
  • Working knowledge of static and dynamic test tools
  • Knowledge of PC Lint, LDRA TestBed and VectorCast.
  • Prefer a knowledge of DOORS with ability to link requirements to test procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Agile SDLC to include capability to break system requirements into software requirements and associated tests.
  • Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
HIGHLY PREFERRED:
  • Polyglot programming experience with multiple languages is highly desired: C/C++, C#, etc.
  • Familiarity with military aerospace design and certification processes to include requirements develop and V&V, preliminary and detailed design is preferred.
