Simmerman HR Solutions is looking for a Principal Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. This candidate will work on integrating novel Multipulse Therapy into Implantable Defibrillators & Cardiac Resynchronization devices, collaborating with a cross-functional team to enhance hardware used in clinical trials.

Ideal candidates have over 8 years of experience in designing these devices and possess both a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering. A flexible work style to thrive in a dynamic environment is essential.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in design of Implantable Defibrillators & Cardiac Resynchronization Devices.
  • Experience in designing circuits at the board/system level.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic small-company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize the integration of novel Multipulse Therapy into devices.
  • Work with engineers, scientists, and clinicians to enhance trial hardware.
  • Generate and file IP for new technology developments.

Principal Electrical (ICD) Hardware Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Cardialen, Inc. is an early‑stage medical device company dedicated to advancing implantable cardioversion and defibrillation using low energy for use as a first‑line therapy to restore normal heart rhythm and may reduce the potential for high‑energy defibrillation shocks.

We are looking for a Principal Electrical Hardware Engineer to help conceptualize the integration of novel Multipulse Therapy (MPT) into commercially available Implantable Defibrillators & Cardiac Resynchronization devices. The role will involve working with a cross‑functional team of engineers, scientists, and clinicians to review data from ongoing clinical trials and make enhancements to the external hardware platform being used in the trial. The engineer will also generate and file IP in this novel area of technology development. Candidates should have a passion for advancing technologies to enhance patient care.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience working on the design of Implantable Defibrillator & Cardiac Resynchronization Devices.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred). Experience in designing Sensing, Detection & Therapy Delivery circuits at the board/system level.
  • Proficiency in analyzing heart rhythms.
  • Flexible working style and ability to thrive in a dynamic small‑company culture.
