Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer I to lead the phased array unit for Ka-band AESA payloads, with Westminster, CO or Austin, TX as on-site locations. The role focuses on ownership from concept through flight qualification, directing multiple engineering disciplines and ensuring successful integration and testing.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive technical execution, and shape environmental testing and production readiness while advancing high-reliability space systems.

Qualifications

• 9+ years electronics hardware development experience.
• Hands-on AESA/phased array antennas and board-level RF electronics.
• Technical leadership or IPT Lead experience.
• Background in space, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability electronics environments.
• Experience with system integration and qualification testing.

We're partnering with an innovative space company seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to take ownership of advanced Ka-band Active Electronically Steered Array (AESA) payloads from concept through flight qualification. In this role, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams across RF, digital, power, software, mechanical, and systems engineering while driving technical execution, integration, environmental testing, and production readiness.

We're looking for engineers with:

• 9+ years of electronics hardware development
• Hands-on experience with AESA/phased array antennas and board-level RF electronics
• Technical leadership or Responsible Engineer/IPT Lead experience
• Background in space, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability electronics environments
• Experience with system integration, qualification testing, and cross-functional engineering leadership is highly desirable.
