Job summary

Proclinical is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the development of advanced embedded electronic systems in the Greater Boston area. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with mentoring a small team of engineers across the full product lifecycle.

The successful candidate will design hardware, define architectures, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while driving design reviews, testing, and validation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Strong background in embedded systems and electronics design.
• PCB design experience, preferably using Altium.
• Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design.
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience working within structured engineering and documentation processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and external partners.

Responsibilities
