Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a DevOps engineer to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, set up development and build environments, and collaborate with team members to deliver software products. All work is performed on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA.

Qualifications include a STEM degree, 5+ years in DevOps or 3 years with a master’s, and active DoD Top Secret clearance. Experience with CI/CD tools (Bamboo/Jenkins) and scripting languages is required, along with strong Windows/Linux knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) from an ABET accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software build management OR 3 years of experience with a master’s degree in a related discipline.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last 5 years.
• Clearance to Highest Level of ATDC SAP.
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps engineering principles.
• Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Practices.
• Experience using and managing one of these CI/CD tools: Bamboo, Jenkins.
• Development experience in one or more of the following scripts: yaml, Python, PowerShell, Curl, Unix.
• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, C++)
• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following tools: GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Ansible, VisualBuild, InstallShield, Wix
• Ability to work on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug safe delivery of critical business software to production.
• Set up Development, Test, and Build environments for the team
• Work with various team members to create a product for deliveries
• Create and update Windows installers
• Install, test, and verify software products
• Maintain multiple baseline repositories
• Provide support to team members with issues relate to build and installation.
• Define and implement software version control processes, policies, and procedures.

• Expert Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning and proven Automation/Coding experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with containerization (Docker / Podman)
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills
• Active / Current DoD Top Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last 5 years

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
