The role includes mentoring data professionals and helping define the technical direction for modern AI capabilities, with a remote US-based work setup and a strong impact on decision-making.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Science, ML, or AI with production experience.
• 6+ years Python, SQL, Spark for production-quality solutions.
• 4+ years building scalable data pipelines on cloud architectures, Databricks preferred.
• 2+ years designing and deploying Generative AI apps incl. LLMs.
• 3+ years leading or mentoring data teams translating business needs into AI solutions.

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will lead advanced machine learning and Generative AI efforts that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The individual will architect scalable data products, analytics tools, and production solutions while partnering closely with business stakeholders and technical teams. This position also includes mentoring data professionals and helping define the technical direction for modern AI and data science capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $144,200 – $288,400 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and monitor advanced machine learning and Generative AI solutions
• Build and maintain scalable data products and pipelines using Databricks
• Architect self-service analytics and reporting tools for data-driven decision-making
• Write and review production-quality code while establishing best practices
• Drive the team’s technical roadmap and architecture for machine learning solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of data professionals

• 6+ years of experience using Python, SQL, and Spark for production-quality solutions

• 3+ years leading or mentoring data teams and translating business challenges into AI solutions
