Confero is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to own the research agenda and hands-on execution for a next-generation cybersecurity platform. You will design algorithms, build core statistical models, and drive IP creation with founders and platform engineers.

This senior IC role requires deep statistical expertise and production ML experience, turning open-ended research into robust software. A PhD or MSc in a quantitative field is preferred; an adversarial mindset is a major bonus.

Our client is building a next-generation cybersecurity platform. At its core is a hard, applied-research problem.

Seed Funded ($11M) from Tier-1 Security VCs. This is a chance to join very early stage to have meaningful impact on the product & business.

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will directly own the research agenda and hands-on execution: designing algorithms, building the core statistical and probabilistic models behind the platform, and directly driving the company's intellectual property.

This is a senior individual contributor (IC) role for a practitioner who thrives at the intersection of deep applied research, advanced mathematical modeling, and production-grade engineering. You will work directly with founders and platform engineers to turn complex, open-ended research problems into robust software.

We're looking for someone that has strong statistical depth - ideally a PhD or MSc in a quantitive field. Hands-on experience with discovery, taxonomy, modelling, applied LLM engineering and production ML system experience.

Someone having an "Adversarial Mindset" would be a major bonus!
