Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platform to deliver a modern cloud data platform including infrastructure, data pipelines, and analytics readiness. You will own end-to-end data flow from source systems through Snowflake to consumption-ready data products, guiding engineers and stakeholders while aligning with architecture standards.

The role is Hybrid based in San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo) with three in-office days per week (Tue–Thu) and frequent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years in data engineering or data platform roles; proven production-grade data platforms and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Designs cloud-native data integrations using APIs and AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda) to Snowflake.
• Builds and maintains data transformation models using dbt; creates dimensional models and data marts.
• Manages Snowflake infrastructure, environment setup, performance optimization, security, and access controls.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, product management, analytics, governance, architecture, and data engineering.
• Applies data quality frameworks, testing, monitoring, and alerting for data accuracy and reliability.
