Job summary

Galent is seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer/Lead to design, build, validate and maintain scalable Snowflake data pipelines that support compliance requirements. You will optimize data models, develop ETL processes with IICS, and collaborate with data scientists and IT to deliver robust data solutions.

The role emphasizes security controls, encryption, performance tuning, and ongoing improvement of the data infrastructure with offshore/on-site coordination as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer/Lead to join our project team As a Snowflake Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing building validating and maintaining scalable Snowflake data pipelines and solutions in compliance , The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with Snowflake Core SQL Skills Cloud ETL processes Python GitHub ControlM Redwood orchestration and a strong understanding of compliance requirements

• Snowflake Data Modeling Design and implement efficient data models in Snowflake to support compliance requirements Optimize schema designs for performance and scalability
• ETL Development Develop ETL processes on IICS Informatica Integration cloud Services to extract transform and load data from various sources into Snowflake Ensure data quality accuracy and integrity throughout the ETL pipelines
• Snowflake Implementation Configure and optimize Snowflake features such as clustering materialized views and automatic scaling to maximize performance and minimize costs
• Compliance Ensure that all data processing activities adhere to regulations Implement security controls and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive data
• Performance Tuning Monitor and analyze the performance of Snowflake data pipelines Identify bottlenecks and optimize queries and processes for improved efficiency
• Data Validation Validating the Data rules created by the development team as part of Data validation
• Collaboration Work closely with cross functional teams including data scientists analysts and IT professionals to understand data requirements and deliver robust data solutions
• Documentation Create comprehensive documentation for Snowflake data pipelines including data models ETL processes and compliance procedures
• Troubleshooting Investigate and resolve datarelated issues promptly Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to endusers when necessary
• Continuous Improvement Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and best practices Continuously evaluate and propose enhancements to existing data infrastructure
• Offshore Peer team management Coordinate and be flexible in coordinating with the peers from offshore and onsite team engagement Should be flexible in delivering the tasks on time and ready to work on business critical adhocrequests
• Must possess handson experience in Snowflake and demonstrate a strong ability to write and optimize SQL codes on a daily basis ensuring efficient data operations management

Qualifications

• Must possess hands on experience in Snowflake and demonstrate a strong ability to write and optimize code on a daily basis ensuring efficient data operations management
• Proven experience as a Snowflake Data Engineer preferably in regulated environments
• Strong proficiency in SQL data modeling and IICS ETL processes Should have Core SQL Knowledge
• Experience with Snowflake features like Data retention clustering materialized views Data shares Clones resource monitoring
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant Snowflake certifications eg SnowPro Snow Architect would be a plus
