Job summary

Thought Logic Consulting is seeking a Principal Consultant, Data Engineer to lead data engineering efforts in the Minneapolis area. You will design and build scalable data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help clients turn raw data into actionable insights.

You’ll work with Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Snowflake, Databricks, and BI tools to deliver reliable data solutions while growing your consulting and technical skills in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Strong SQL and Python or similar scripting language skills.
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes with modern data tools.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and data modeling concepts.
• Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and maintain data quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Palantir Foundry.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with clients and team to gather requirements and ensure data quality.
• Contribute to data models and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift).
• Support dashboards and visualizations with Power BI or Tableau.
• Assist in testing, documentation, and deployment of data solutions.
• Engage in project workstreams and client interactions while learning best practices.
