Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Data Center Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning across multiple data center projects for hyperscale AI data center initiatives in the Greater Abilene, Texas Area. You will collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery and alignment with business goals and reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center commissioning or large-scale facility commissioning.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and reliability requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for hyperscale data center projects.
• Monitor testing KPIs, identify trends, and contribute to technical documentation.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project lifecycle standards.

Job description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Data Center Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning across multiple data center projects for hyperscale AI data center commissioning in the Greater Abilene, Texas Area.

In this role, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business goals, industry standards, and operational reliability requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners to communicate expectations, track progress, resolve issues, and support successful project completion.

You will also monitor key performance indicators during systems testing, identify trends or anomalies, contribute to technical documentation, and help ensure quality and safety standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

This position is based in Greater Abilene area (Shackelford County, Texas) approximately 20 miles from Abilene. We are open to local to the area or open to relocate to Abilene. Oracle offers competitive relocation packages for eligible candidates. We will also consider candidates from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area who are open to travel over 50%.
