Workday in Reston, VA is seeking a Principal cybersecurity engineer to architect our internal risk management tools. You will bridge the Cybersecurity Risk organization and Engineering teams to advance risk data structures, analyses, and automation.

Qualifications

• 9+ years building custom GRC platforms.
• Proficient in Python/Go/Java with Git and API design.
• End-to-end SDLC governance including SRS docs and project plans.
• Ability to define architectures, data models, and API specs with QA rigor.
• Experience leading technical roadmaps without direct reports.
• Expertise in data pipelines, ELT/ETL, and data quality for security telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Architect the internal suite of Cybersecurity Risk Management tools.
• Bridge Cybersecurity Risk org and Engineering teams.
• Lead the technical roadmap for software and data science efforts.
• Define risk metrics and models, translate risk philosophy into engineering stories.
