Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise security architectures across SSE, ZTNA, DLP, CASB, and AI-enabled platforms. The role emphasizes hybrid work from Buffalo, NY with four onsite days and one remote day per week.

The candidate will lead security platform implementations, establish governance, and mentor engineers while aligning with regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in security architecture or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of SSE, SWG, CASB, ZTNA, Data Protection, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise SSE, Zero Trust, and data protection strategies aligned to business needs.
• Lead architecture and deployment of SSE, CASB, DLP, ZTNA, and Enterprise Browser security controls.
• Define testing methodologies and metrics for data protection technologies.
• Coordinate complex deployments with cross-functional teams and provide technical oversight.
• Drive automation using APIs, orchestration, and AI-driven security workflows.
• Advise leadership on security investments, budgets, and roadmaps.
