Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our Mission Systems cyber team. The role focuses on security architecture, RMF/ATO posture, and secure network designs for classified and unclassified environments.

Requires TS/SCI eligibility, US citizenship, and DoD IAT Level II certification, with hands-on cyber engineering experience. On-site work only, no telecommute options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of related experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or PhD with 1+ year.
• Hands-on cyber/security engineering experience on complex networks (DoD or similar).
• Experience applying RMF and implementing security controls for Microsoft/Linux systems.
• Strong knowledge of encryption, PKI/KMS, and secure configurations.

Responsibilities

• Own security architecture and RMF/ATO posture for networked systems.
• Design and secure multi‑enclave launch/test networks (classified/unclassified).
• Collaborate with network, systems, software, and test engineers.
• Develop engineering artifacts: diagrams, configurations, and deployment plans.
