Job description

Description

Amazon's Corporate Strategy Group is seeking a Principal, Corporate Strategist to drive the strategic direction and commercial optimization of the company's most significant partnerships. These strategic customers are among Amazon's largest and most complex relationships. They require a dedicated strategist who can navigate multi-dimensional commercial landscapes and identify opportunities to deepen and expand long-term value.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies that maximize the strategic and economic impact of each relationship. You will assess the full scope of each partnership, identify growth opportunities, and connect the right internal stakeholders and capabilities to deliver on them. The work spans strategic analysis, deal structuring, and cross-organizational alignment at the highest levels of the company.

This is a global role. Strategic customers span multiple geographies and include companies headquartered across the U.S./Europe and Asia Pacific/Japan (APJ). You will navigate complex international commercial landscapes and adapt strategy to regional market dynamics.

This is a high-visibility, high-judgment position. You will regularly engage with S-Team executives within AWS and across Amazon's worldwide businesses, and your recommendations will directly inform decisions at that level. The work requires someone who can hold both strategic altitude and operational precision simultaneously.

This is an individual contributor role that leads entirely through influence. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams spanning Product, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and senior leadership across multiple Amazon businesses without direct authority over any of them. The Corporate Strategy Group is a small, high-trust team that operates with significant autonomy.

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to deepen strategic customer partnerships by connecting the right Amazon capabilities to unmet customer needs.
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute complex commercial frameworks that deliver long-term value for both Amazon and the strategic customer.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams spanning Product, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and senior leadership across multiple Amazon businesses to advance partnership objectives.
  • Manage a global book of strategic customer relationships across the U.S./Europe and Asia Pacific/Japan (APJ), adapting commercial strategy to regional market dynamics.
