Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Principal CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist to support TAVR procedures and educate clinical teams. You will collaborate with implanting teams and field organizations to drive procedural success and safe adoption of CoreValve therapy.

You will travel up to 80% within the assigned territory, provide expert clinical and technical support, and stay current with product development and clinical evidence to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 11+ years, or an Associate degree with 9+ years, or a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of clinical or sales experience in interventional cardiology or related fields.
  • 3+ years of such experience in an industry setting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical and technical leadership for TAVR procedures, including case planning and procedural support.
  • Develop knowledge of TAVR technology, clinical data, and industry trends to support product development.
  • Partner with therapy consultants and cross-functional teams to execute territory plans and grow business.
  • Build relationships with physicians and healthcare teams, delivering exceptional customer support.
  • Manage operational activities, including inventory, vendor credentialing, and quality initiatives.
  • Operate in demanding clinical settings with radiation exposure and PPE requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Principal CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist provides technical, clinical, educational and sales support to ensure safe adoption and growth of the Medtronic CoreValve System and future catheter-based therapy technologies. The CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist works closely with implanting teams and the Medtronic Catheter-based Therapies (CBT) and CVG field organizations to drive procedural and practice success.

  • Provide expert clinical and technical support for TAVR and TAVI procedures, supporting valve preparation and deployment, and ensuring adherence to trial protocols, instructions for use, and best practices to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate and educate with physicians, hospital staff, and Medtronic partners to deliver education, conduct in-services, drive safe program growth, communicate clinical evidence, and support territory business plans and sales objectives.

CoreValve Therapy Development Specialists must have the ability to work outside of normal business hours.

Territory for this role:Baltimore.

Candidates mustresidewithin the assigned territory and be able to travel to multiple customer accounts throughout the regionup to 80% of the time; a valid driver's license, active insurance isrequiredfor this role. In addition, the final candidate must haveadriving record that meets company standards.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities are to be performed as appropriate in clinical trial case support and/or case support following commercial approval, depending upon the approval status of the product at the time.

  • Deliver clinical and technical leadership for TAVR procedures, including case planning, procedural support, CT reconstruction and measurement analysis, and expertise across imaging modalities and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of TAVR technology, clinical data, competitive products, and industry trends while partnering with internal stakeholders to support innovation and future product development.
  • Partner with therapy consultants, managers, and cross-functional partners to execute territory business plans, support growth initiatives, identify opportunities, and communicate market intelligence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, administrators, and healthcare teams by delivering exceptional customer support, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of service within assigned accounts.
  • Manage operational and compliance activities, including inventory support, vendor credentialing requirements, product complaint reporting, quality initiatives, and onboarding and mentoring new team members.
  • Operateeffectively in demanding clinical settings requiring the use of computers and CT reconstruction software, independent mobility, the ability tolift upto 20 pounds, and extended periods of computer-based work.
  • Maintainsafety and readiness in environments with exposure to radiation, bloodborne pathogens, and infectious diseases, including wearing required PPE and lead aprons for procedures averaging 2-3 hours.

Required Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma plus 11+ OR associate’s degree and 9 + OR Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years clinical or sales experience; selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products, with at leas
  • 3+ years of such experience in an industry setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or science
  • Experience with wires, balloons, catheters, stents
  • Exceptional understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
  • Experience communicating product’s market advantages to physicians and hospital administration
  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel
  • Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), CT, Angiograms)
  • Echocardiology backgroundhighly preferred

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$140,000.00 - $150,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
