Job summary

AlignityX in McLean, Virginia is seeking a Principal Consultant, Technical for the Public Sector to shape architecture, lead complex enterprise implementations, and steer delivery from strategy through execution.

You will stay hands-on with technology, mentor consultants and delivery teams, and partner with customer leadership to deliver value, manage risk, and drive outcomes across engagements, with up to 20% travel and a requirement for U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in technical consulting, enterprise software implementation, solution architecture, or a similar client-facing technical environment.

The Opportunity

AlignityX is partnering with a leading enterprise technology organization to identify a Principal Consultant, Technical to join its Public Sector consulting organization in McLean, Virginia.

This opportunity is designed for a highly experienced technical consultant who wants to remain close to the technology while having greater influence over solution architecture, complex delivery, technical direction, and customer outcomes.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be trusted with some of the organization’s most complex customer challenges. You will work directly with customers and technical teams to understand the problem beneath the requirements, shape the right solution, navigate critical technical decisions, and lead successful implementations from strategy through execution.

This is not simply a delivery role. Your technical judgment will help determine what gets built and how.

Experience with low-code platforms, business process management (BPM), workflow automation, digital transformation, or enterprise application platforms is highly relevant.

Direct experience with the specific platform is valuable, but we are equally interested in accomplished technical consultants whose experience comes from adjacent enterprise technology environments.

Public Sector Requirements

Location & Travel

This position is based in McLean, Virginia and requires an onsite presence five days per week.

Candidates should also be comfortable with up to approximately 20% travel, depending on customer and project needs.
