Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Principal Configuration Analyst to coordinate and administer configuration management activities across planning, identification, change management, and audit. Qualifications

  • Must have a relevant degree with required experience as listed (Bachelors with 5+ years, or Masters with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year).

  • Experience with SETR events (SRR, PDR, CDR).
  • Knowledge of configuration management concepts and documentation control.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation to meet contract requirements.

  • Analyze proposed design changes for impact on product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records; establish change orders and documentation for approvals.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

The selected candidate will coordinate and administer configuration management activities related to planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  • Review contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Support program configuration and data management requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master’s Degree and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience, OR a High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) with 9 years of relevant military / professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a US Government Secret or higher clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Must have experience with data involving SETR events (i.e., SRR, PDR, CDR).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teamcenter, JIRA proficiency.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance Secret (or higher)
  • Knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
  • Experience reviewing engineering documentation
  • Ability to apply principles of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
  • Experience or knowledge of maintaining a bill of material (BOM) between PLM and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of product baselines and configuration status accounting
  • Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning tool (MRP) (i.e. Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements.
  • Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $77,000.00 - $115,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
