Alteryx is seeking a Principal, Cloud Platform Architect to define the technical vision for a multi-tenant, multi-cloud SaaS platform. This role blends hands-on architecture with cross-team leadership to scale analytics and AI capabilities.

You'll own cloud platform modernization, design scalable, highly available core services, and set standards across infrastructure, security, and reliability. Remote-friendly; strong collaboration with SRE, security, and product engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Experience architecting large-scale, multi-region, multi-tenant cloud-native SaaS platforms.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, Kubernetes, and containerized platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the cloud platform architecture and lead migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Design scalable, highly available architectures across compute, networking, storage, and platform services.
• Establish reference architectures and best practices; run architecture reviews for security, scalability, and reliability.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Platform, SRE, Security, and Product Engineering on strategy and execution.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, prototype approaches, and address architectural debt.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise architectural maturity org-wide.

We're seeking a Principal Cloud Platform Architect to define the technical vision for our multi-tenant, multi-cloud infrastructure — leading cross-cutting initiatives across infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, security, and product engineering.
