Job Summary

The Principal Cloud Architect is responsible for the supervision of a company's cloud computing system. This involves working on cloud application designs, cloud approval plans, and systems required to manage cloud storage. This position will develop new usage patterns, plays an active role in the everyday use of cloud services, and ensures that cloud services are efficiently running 24/7.

Job Summary Details

• Responsible for the adoption of cloud technology and supervision of LIBERTY's cloud computing system.
• Develops and coordinates cloud architecture across diverse areas including application development, identity and access management, and network and data management.
• Deliver end-to-end cloud architecture solutions; develop and organize Cloud solutions.
• Assist with overseeing the development and implementation of IT architectural applications.
• Support and advise on application assessment, migration and modernization.
• Provide recommendations to optimize Cloud usage costs by analyzing usage patterns and trends and on instance types based on demand across all billing accounts.
• Design cloud infrastructure, virtual private cloud, virtual private network, relational database services, auto scaling, and computing resources to meet customers’ requirements.
• Provide expertise in high availability, contingency planning, and automated provisioning.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture team and other stakeholders to determine enterprise tools, technologies and processes.
• Applies engineering concepts and principles to the design of cloud-based solutions.
• Participate in creating a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
• Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
• Work in coordination with other departments to implement all architecture changes; assist in audits and penetration testing to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Evaluate business needs, define functional requirements and technical specifications, and code secure and efficient solutions or enhancements.
• Test software functionality and monitors performance, ensuring accessibility and scalability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between end users, support personnel, and software engineering teams.
• Analyze and defines business requirements to determine specifications and standards; proposes and develops solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

4 Year / Bachelors Degree In Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification from one of the major Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google) preferred.

Specific Skills/Knowledge

• Expert knowledge about the concepts and moving parts involved in continuous integration and delivery.
• AWS experience in a solutions delivery role.
• Stong understanding of solutions delivery using well-architected cloud frameworks, services, and technologies.
• Expertise in cloud service delivery models.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience working with senior level stakeholders and development teams.
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing to convey cloud technologies and solutions to all levels of customer personnel.
• Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation.

COMPENSATION:

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $129,099 - 167,829 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
