Science Applications International Corp. seeks a Principal Cloud & DevSecOps Engineer to join the Colorado Springs team onsite. You will deploy C2E cloud environments (AWS/Azure), build secure CI/CD pipelines, and implement IaC for multi-cloud DoD deployments. Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

You will lead secure, scalable cloud architectures, automate deployment pipelines, and drive compliance with RMF and STIGs while collaborating with government partners and internal teams.

Qualifikationen

• U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 9+ years, or Master’s with 7+ years (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with C2E cloud platforms, including AWS.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and containerization tools (Docker, Helm).
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• DoD 8140 System Administrator intermediate certification (Security+ CE or greater).
• Proven DevSecOps experience with tools (Checkmarx, Snyk, SonarQube).
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks including RMF and STIGs; on-site only role.

SAIC is seeking aPrincipal Cloud & DevSecOps Engineeronsite in Colorado Springs, COto support advanced cloud deployments intoC2E (Commercial Cloud Enterprise) AWSenvironments. As part of this role, you will work on the integration of modern cloud orchestration frameworks with secure DevSecOps pipelines, enabling agile, secure, and reliable cloud services tailored to DoD and mission-critical environments.

This effort will deliversecure cloud architecture,automated deployment pipelines, andsecurity compliance enforcementacross mission domains—bridging intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, combat applications, and command and control operations.

TheCloud & DSO Engineerwill collaborate closely with government, mission partners, and SAIC teams to design and implement secure cloud-native platforms capable of addressing evolving warfighter requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy Solutions in C2E Environments:Configure and deploy cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) to support rapid prototyping, automating the scaling of microservices, Kubernetes clusters, and infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Establish and Maintain Secure CI/CD Pipelines:Design and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools (e.g., Checkmarx, Snyk, SonarQube) and enable GitOps workflows for automated deployments.
• Implement Mission-Focused DevSecOps Solutions:Build infrastructure as code (IaC) for C2E multi-cloud environments, ensuring compliance with DoD frameworks and deploying secure Kubernetes workloads.
• Manage Multi-Security Cloud Operations:Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud resources, performance, and costs within C2E environments, integrating logging and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Loki, Fluentd).
• Strengthen Security and Vulnerability Management:Apply DoD cybersecurity policies (e.g., STIGs, RMF), perform system hardening, vulnerability scans, and implement automated remediation across cloud pipelines.
• Collaboration and Documentation:Work with cross-functional teams to update cloud applications and produce technical documentation, system architecture, and pipeline guides.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen with an ActiveTS/SCI Clearance(must remain active).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with nine (9)+ years, Master’s with seven (7)+ years, or PhD with four (4)+ years of related experience OR years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience incloud engineering or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience withC2E cloud platforms, including AWS.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestrationand containerization tools: Docker, Helm, etc.
• Deep expertise inInfrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Must have current DoD 8140 System Administrator intermediate certification (Security P+ CE or greater)
• Proven track record implementingDevSecOps principlesand tools (e.g., Checkmarx, SonarQube, Aqua Security).

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
