Job description

Intuit is the global platform company powering prosperity for over 100 million consumers and businesses across TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp. Within Intuit's business platform, the Global Business Solutions Group is $11B in annual revenue, and its Services portfolio of Payments, Lending, Bill Pay, and Workforce Solutions represents its biggest priorities and fastest-growing businesses. Across these experiences, we are evolving from workflows our customers run themselves to done-for-you experiences powered by AI Agents, where Intuit helps customers get invoices paid faster, do payroll with less work, and access capital right when it's needed.

Each of these businesses is scaling fast. What separates good from great at this scale is operational velocity: how quickly the portfolio sets priorities, moves resources to the biggest opportunities, spots problems while they're still small, and turns decisions into action. That velocity doesn't happen on its own. Someone has to build the system that creates it, and that's the mandate of this role.

As Principal on the Services Portfolio Strategy & Growth team, you will be a senior leader and trusted advisor to Services leadership, responsible for shaping how the business sets priorities, allocates resources, and executes against its most critical initiatives. You will own and run the Services Operating System: the operating cadence, planning processes, performance insights, and accountability structures that connect vision to execution. You are a mechanism-builder, not a meeting-scheduler: you will design the cadence so it is efficient, forward-looking, and action-oriented; lead the deeply interlocked annual planning process; and surface the data-driven insights that enable quick, informed decisions.

You will operate as a senior individual contributor with Services-wide reach, working directly with Services leadership and partners across the Intuit ecosystem, including Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Finance.

Responsibilities
  • Own and run the Services Operating System
  • Design and run the forums where Services’ biggest decisions get made (business reviews, executive leadership forums) so leadership time goes to decisions, not status.
  • Streamline relentlessly: make every forum efficient, forward-looking, and action-oriented, and retire anything that doesn't earn its place on the calendar.
  • Build durable operating frameworks and governance mechanisms the organization can rely on year over year.
  • Lead planning, priority setting, and resource allocation
  • Orchestrate annual planning for the Services portfolio, landing committed plans with clear owners and success measures.
  • Establish the frameworks for prioritization and trade‑off decisions that ensure strategy is translated into execution and investment choices maximize impact for customers and the business.
  • Run the in-year rhythm that keeps plans honest: checkpoints, re-prioritization, and course corrections as the business evolves. Feed enterprise planning moments that position Services at the company level.
  • Surface the data-driven insights that power decisions
  • Cut through dashboard sprawl to a curated view of Services performance: the few metrics that matter, the scorecards, and the executive reporting that drive the Services business.
  • Craft and deliver the performance narrative to Services and Intuit leadership: what happened, why, and what we’re doing about it.
  • Use AI tools to automate reporting, dashboards, and synthesis, making insights faster, sharper, and cheaper to produce every quarter.
  • Instill accountability and follow-through
  • Ensure every decision leaves the room with an owner, a milestone, and a success measure, and every commitment gets tracked to done.
  • Build early‑warning mechanisms that surface risk and slippage while there's still time to act.
  • Close the loop from decision to action to outcome, so the organization puts points on the board predictably.
  • Cultivate a high-performing, engaged organization
  • Champion operational excellence and transparency across Services: how the business runs should be a source of pride, not friction.
  • Partner with leadership, HR, and Communications on the moments that build community and connection (all‑hands, offsites, recognition) so employees feel informed, supported, and energized.
Qualifications

Experience

10+ years in business operations, strategy & operations, or management consulting in tech/SaaS environments. Top-tier consulting experience strongly preferred. Fintech and payments expertise helpful but not required; you’ll come up the curve quickly, supported by internal experts.

Operational Rigor

Deep expertise designing and running operating cadences, planning processes, and business reporting (KPIs, scorecards, operational reviews) for complex, scaled organizations.

Strategic & Analytical Acumen

Ability to connect strategy to execution: strong problem-solving, resource allocation, and financial planning skills, with the quantitative chops to turn data into decisions.

Executive Communication

Exceptional written and verbal communication, able to distill ambiguity into a clear, compelling point of view and deliver performance narratives that land with C-level audiences.

Collaboration & Influence

Proven ability to drive planning and execution across organizations you don't control, building the trust that makes leaders show up prepared, commit honestly, and follow through.

Ownership & Urgency

A high-velocity operator with extreme ownership: you run toward the mess, diagnose root causes of execution drag, and fix the system, not just the symptom.

AI Fluency

Creative and skilled user of AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesis, and communication, and to build them into the operating system itself.
