Our client seeks a Principal BI Analyst to design and deliver an executive value stream dashboard that provides actionable visibility into revenue drivers. The consultant will partner with data, analytics, and business stakeholders to build a scalable Power BI solution, implement clean and maintainable data models, and establish a weekly refresh process. The engagement will focus on health plan operating model optimization and on enabling growth beyond the initial delivery.

Rate: $60.00 to $63.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Serve as thought leader and architect for data visualization solutions that drive analytic value.
• Analyze complex business problems and produce detailed specifications for development.
• Act as a technical resource for system issues, work processes, and procedures.
• Independently perform discovery and fact finding to execute assignments.
• Identify, communicate, and implement visualization best practices and standards.
• Partner with Data & Analytics leadership on tactical and strategic visualization decisions.
• Mentor junior team members on development best practices.
• Design and architect high-performance, maintainable, and scalable dashboards.
• Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions to align stakeholder needs.
• Provide project status, **escalate** issues, and communicate risks to ensure delivery success.
• Create, maintain, and enforce data visualization governance and development standards.
• Assist management with training and employee development initiatives.
• Provide direction and assistance to junior staff members.
• Build a clean backend and implement a weekly refresh for the executive value stream dashboard.
• Plan for solution growth and sustainability beyond the engagement.

Experience Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence or related analytics roles.
• Expertise with Power BI, including data modeling and connections to varied data sources.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Ability to translate ambiguous stakeholder inputs into executable work.
• Self-starter with a track record of end-to-end dashboard delivery and iteration.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred, or 10+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
