Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead backend development for mission-critical systems in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on scalable services using Python and FastAPI, with PostgreSQL databases and high-performance API integrations.

You will drive data engineering efforts and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable, efficient software delivery in data-sensitive environments. On-site work and TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance are required.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is required.
Experience as a backend developer on complex systems.
Experience with data engineering and API development.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including analytics and real-time components.
Design, implement, and integrate software applications and components.
Collaborate on software design decisions and architectural trade-offs.
Ensure delivery using repeatable processes and industry standards.
