Cyberhaven is redefining data security by tracing how sensitive data moves across endpoints, cloud, SaaS, and AI tools. We seek a Principal Backend Software Engineer to influence architecture of a new product line and solve complex technical challenges at scale.

You will own the design of large-scale systems, drive security-forward features, and mentor engineers while working in a fast-paced environment with distributed teams in Europe and the US.

Competenze

• Strong backend experience with scalable systems
• Deep hands-on Go development
• Experience with large databases and GCP services (BigTable/BigQuery/Spanner)
• Profiling and optimizing distributed code
• Experience building API connectors with SaaS/GenAI platforms
• Hands-on production experience with microservices and Kubernetes
• Excellent English communication and collaboration across time zones
• Thrives in fast-paced environments and ambiguous challenges
• Customer-centric mindset and ability to incorporate feedback
• Based in India or the EU

• Architect, extend, and optimize a large-scale, fault-tolerant system handling billions of AI-related events in real time
• Set technical direction for data security in AI models and GenAI platforms
• Architect and implement end-to-end security features for customer data
• Tackle real-world scaling problems with performance analysis and troubleshooting
• Work with a modern microservices stack (Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, Docker, Etcd)
• Design and build API connectors with SaaS and GenAI platforms
• Write secure-by-design software that handles untrusted data over the internet
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor senior engineers to raise the technical bar
