Job description

Amazon LEO is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide secure, high-speed, low-latency broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities, businesses and governments around the world. If you are someone who wants to play a pivotal role in shaping the business-to-business marketing landscape for Amazon LEO across America, this is your opportunity. We’re seeking a dynamic Principal Marketing Lead who can create and execute field focused acquisition strategies with full autonomy.

This role requires a flexible, growth mindset and the ability to manage a high degree of ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating as both a player and a coach, setting and achieving goals, and tracking key performance indicators as a strategist, then acquiring customers and hitting revenue targets. They will need to demonstrate a history of progressive scope and the ability to solve problems autonomously and navigate a large, global, and matrixed environment while balancing hands‑on execution.

At Amazon LEO, the B2B Marketing team is defining our end‑to‑end go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy. We own B2B customer insights, deliver compelling content, and acquire and retain customers across multiple industries and regions. The Principal Marketing Lead for B2B Marketing in North America will be responsible for crafting and implementing marketing strategies that resonate with diverse markets and cultures. They will need to be as comfortable with account‑based marketing as with white‑glove events, campaigns, and influencers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the regional B2B marketing strategy from the ground up, for an advanced and modern connectivity service in one of our most important regions.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketing acquisition strategies for multiple countries within the Americas region.
  • Run high‑value regional evangelism and advisory programs for our top customers across multiple countries.
  • Set, achieve and report on sales and marketing objectives and key results, and ongoing performance indicators including customer acquisition, conversion and revenue targets.
  • Beginning as an IC, set the strategy, then hire, lead and mentor a future team of B2B marketers fostering a culture of innovation and excellence and embracing the Amazon leadership principles.
  • Collaborate with global, cross‑functional teams within the region and our Washington, USA headquarters to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Work cross‑functionally with your peers, B2B PMM, Brand, Creative, Research and Operations teams to apply the latest digital, event and content acquisition tactics.
  • Adapt global marketing initiatives to suit local markets, cultural nuances and gain efficiencies with existing programs.
  • Optimize Marketing Acquired Leads (MAL), Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) and Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) conversion down the customer funnel across segments and industries.
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership on program effectiveness, campaign results, and marketing strategies.
Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A day in the life

This is a highly visible, high impact role leading the B2B Marketing efforts for Amazon LEO in the Americas. This will take close collaboration and readiness support with local sales, business development and solutions architecture teams and include account‑based marketing and campaigns. They will work closely with business operations, business development, AWS, and Amazon LEO's marketing teams to set and achieve goals through account‑based marketing, campaigns and events. This person will thrive by working independently with large, cross‑functional teams inside and outside Amazon, while adapting global strategies to suit local market needs.

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross‑functional marketing programs
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross‑functional teams
  • Experience in marketing or marketing research
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to senior leadership
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with partner teams to drive adoption and usage of brand assets and messaging
  • Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives
  • Experience driving acquisition strategies for Telcos, Networking, Security, IoT or Cloud products at scale across multiple regions.
