Job description

Overview

We’re seeking a bold and innovative Executive Development Principal to help shape the future of leadership at AWS. In this role, you will design and deliver new executive development strategies that scale—strategies that reflect how leaders of the future truly grow, learn, and transform in today’s fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a comprehensive executive development framework that accelerates readiness for AWS's most critical leadership roles, complementing AWS's philosophy of on-the-job learning.
  • Create innovative assessment and development approaches that provide actionable insights on leadership potential and readiness, while leveraging real business challenges as development opportunities.
  • Build technology-enabled solutions that scale development while maintaining consistency with PXT tenets and supporting AWS's rapid pace of change.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify high-potential talent and create targeted development plans that bridge the gap between self-service development and high-touch executive programs.
  • Develop and manage mechanisms to track executive readiness and succession depth for critical AWS roles, ensuring a robust leadership pipeline.
  • Lead stakeholder management across AWS leadership, ensuring alignment between development initiatives and business needs.
  • Analyze program effectiveness through multiple lenses (participant experience, business impact, talent outcomes) and drive insights and recommendations to AWS leadership on talent pipeline health.
  • Create measurement frameworks to assess ROI and impact of development investments, demonstrating the value of accelerated leadership development.
  • Design experiential learning approaches that maximize on-the-job development while providing structured support and acceleration for high-potential leaders.
  • Collaborate with PXT and business leaders to integrate executive development initiatives with broader talent management strategies and organizational goals.
A day in the life

Collaborate with C-suite and senior leaders to influence AWS's leadership pipeline, blending executive development, talent assessment, and strategic business partnership to deliver transformational development experiences.
