Job summary

Job description

Location: Plano, Texas, United States of America.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross‑functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love.
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies (Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, etc.) to uncover insights within large volumes of numeric and textual data.
• Build machine learning models through all phases of development—from design, training, evaluation, validation to implementation.
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field and 5 years of experience in performing data analytics.

In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, the following qualifications are acceptable: a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields or an MBA or foreign equivalent degree in a quantitative concentration with 3 years of experience; or a PhD or foreign equivalent in the aforementioned fields.

Must pass company assessment.

Additional Information

Reports to Plano, TX office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of the office. Eligible for employee referral program. Capital One will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.
