Smart4 Cloud Limited is seeking a client-facing Principal Architect to lead enterprise Google Cloud, Generative AI and CX solutions. This role combines hands-on architecture with strategic consulting and mentoring, focusing on Gemini Enterprise, Agentic AI and cloud-native tech.

The successful candidate will guide LLM orchestration, architect secure, scalable systems, and engage C-suite stakeholders across US-based enterprise engagements, delivering measurable business outcomes.

• 7+ years' experience in software engineering, systems design and enterprise architecture, including 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale Google Cloud solutions.
• 3+ years in Conversational AI & CX architecture, including virtual agents, Agent Assist, GenAI integrations and CCaaS solutions.
• Hands-on architectural leadership — own solution design, guide LLM orchestration and RAG architectures, mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural strategy across multiple enterprise customer engagements, designing secure, scalable Google Cloud and AI solutions.
• Bridge business requirements and technical execution with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Cloud Architects and AI Engineers; influence architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, shaping AI transformation strategies and ensuring solutions are practical and commercially viable.

I'm recruiting on behalf of an innovative, Google Cloud Partner and AI-driven Customer Experience (CX) technology consultancy, seeking an exceptional, client-facing Principal Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Google Cloud, Generative AI and Customer Experience solutions.

This is a senior technical leadership opportunity combining hands-on solution architecture, strategic customer consulting and engineering mentorship, with a strong focus on Google Gemini Enterprise, Agentic AI and cloud-native technologies.

What we're looking for:

• 7+ years' experience in software engineering, systems design and enterprise architecture, including 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale Google Cloud (GCP) solutions.
• 3+ years in Conversational AI & Customer Experience (CX) architecture, including virtual agents, Agent Assist, GenAI integrations and CCaaS solutions.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Gemini Enterprise App, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Gemini Enterprise for CX, Agent Development Kit (ADK), Agent Search & Agent Retrieval.
• Strong GCP infrastructure and cloud-native architecture expertise, including GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC networking, BigQuery, cloud security and scalable microservices.
• Proven experience with API integrations, REST/webhooks, Terraform, CI/CD, DevOps and modern SDLC practices. Exposure to Genesys, Amazon Connect or other CCaaS platforms is advantageous.
• Hands-on architectural leadership — able to own solution design, guide LLM orchestration and RAG architectures, conduct code/design reviews, establish technical standards and mentor engineering teams.
• Exceptional consultative presence — confident engaging C-suite executives, leading technical discovery workshops, challenging stakeholders and translating complex AI/cloud concepts into measurable business outcomes.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools such as Gemini Code Assist, Claude Code, Codex or similar.

What you'll be doing:

• You'll lead architectural strategy across multiple enterprise customer engagements, designing secure, scalable and cost-effective Google Cloud and AI solutions.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Cloud Architects and AI Engineers, you'll bridge business requirements and technical execution, influence critical architectural decisions, establish engineering best practices and guide teams through complex implementations.
• You’ll also act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping shape their AI transformation strategies while ensuring solutions are practical, commercially viable and built for long-term success.

Qualifications & Benefits:

• Relevant Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience. Google Professional Cloud Architect certification preferred; AI/ML, Data Engineering or Agentic AI certifications are advantageous.
