JPMorgan Chase, within the Chase Digital Technology & Architecture team, seeks experienced architects to lead strategy, modernization, and product delivery across cloud-based platforms. You will partner with senior leaders to set multi-year plans and drive enterprise-wide architectural outcomes.

Competenze

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in domain driven design, data modeling, micro services architecture, event & streaming technologies and best practices.
• Advanced experience in API design and management, service definition and consumption including API brokers, REST APIs.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in digital web and mobile application development.
• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard security best practices for public-facing digital applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and in building cloud-native applications.
• Defining non-functional requirements and architectures to satisfy availability, extensibility, and resiliency needs.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD.
• Ability to define target state architectures and develop transition plans.
• Hands-on experience modeling with UML or TOGAF.

The Chase Digital Technology & Architecture team seeks motivated, experienced architects to lead strategy, modernization, engineering acceleration, and business innovation. The team provides strategic leadership in digital product domains, DevOps, and engineering practices, enabling application teams to excel. Architects will be responsible for partnering with senior leadership in the business and technology to define and evolve multi-year strategies, incorporating business objectives as well as enterprise technology objectives. Architects must have strong digital transformation and product delivery experience and be capable of producing practical, valuable and credible guidance/architecture for product teams. Architects must also be comfortable in managing and reducing complexity in technology portfolios, as Chase’s strong history of market success and acquisitions has gathered a wide range of technology solutions, leveraging vendor and proprietary solutions through modern cloud technologies.

As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, youare an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Job responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, responsive web and mobile applications using modern technologies and frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure all applications adhere to industry-standard security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the development process and product quality.
• Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs. Defines the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy
• Participates in architecture governance bodies. Evaluates recommendations and provides feedback on new technologies
• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification onsoftware engineeringconcepts and 10+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in domain driven design, data modeling, micro services architecture, event & streaming technologies and best practices.
• Advanced experience in API design and management, Service definition and consumption including API, brokers, REST APIs
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in digital web and mobile application development.
• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard security best practices for public-facing digital applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and in building cloud-native application
• Defining Non-functional requirements and architectures to satisfy availability, extensibility, and resiliency needs
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• Ability to work well at a conceptual and practical levels, resolve ambiguity, and to drive concepts out into workable solutions. Ability to define target state architectures, and develop realistic transition plans for achieving target state
• Hands-on experience modeling with UML, object-oriented constructs, or other modeling language. Experience with formal enterprise architecture models and tooling, such as TOGAF

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with AI/ML, LLM, Agentic AI and Generative AI is preferred.
• AWS Certification preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
