Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a Principal Architect for Data Product Delivery to lead scalable data solutions across programs. This role partners with Engineering, Product Management, Data Governance, and Security to translate strategy into architecture, roadmaps, and reusable patterns.

You will own data architecture, enable governance, and guide delivery teams across hybrid environments in multiple locations including NJ, MI, TX, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years in data engineering, solution architecture, or technical design with architecture ownership.
• Experience architecting large-scale enterprise data platforms and integration solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, data modeling, modern data architecture, Databricks or equivalent Lakehouse, and guiding implementation teams.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture direction, standards, reference patterns, and reusable components for data ingestion, storage, transformation, analytics, and consumption.
• Own architecture diagrams, technical designs, integration blueprints, data models, standards, and architecture decision records for Data and Analytics.
• Develop proofs of concept, reference implementations, and reusable patterns to accelerate delivery.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend fit-for-purpose adoption.
• Conduct architecture reviews to assess scalability, security, and reliability; mentor engineers and architects.
• Translate requirements into technical designs, roadmaps, and phased implementation plans with stakeholders.
