• Proven track record of leading research and development projects.

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI science team is responsible for growing OCI’s Generative AI, Agent and Analytics services. We are seeking an exceptional applied scientist to work on innovative Generative AI & Data Analytics modeling research and development efforts. As a Principal Applied Scientist in Generative AI Science team, you will be architecting, building and deploying cutting-edge, high-quality AI models and solutions at scale. You will work with a team of world-class scientists in exploring new frontiers of Generative AI and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers and product managers to deploy these globally for real-world enterprise use-cases at the largest scale. You will play a key role in shaping the future of Generative AI & Data Analytics at Oracle and across the industry. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering our new Generative AI-powered services for large-scale enterprise customers.

Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research on Generative AI and Data Analytics, with a focus on Large Language Models (architecture, models, representation, evaluation, optimizations, planning, among others), and other emerging approaches.

AI Data and Agent Development: Design, develop, and train state-of-the-art LLM models and Agents that meet the highest quality standards.

Team Leadership: technical leadership and mentor junior scientists.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Generative AI capabilities into various applications and products.

Innovation: Identify new opportunities for Generative AI and Data Analytics and explore emerging technologies for Unstructured and Structured Data.

Stay Updated: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and advancements in this space.

Qualifications and Experience:

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $126,200 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
