Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Application Software Engineer to advance the TDMS software suite for manufacturing test-record management in Nashville, TN. You will work hands-on on Java backend/middleware, influencing design and guiding other engineers.

You will design, build, and troubleshoot services using Spring/Spring Boot, WebLogic/JBoss, and cloud platforms, while operating in Linux environments and driving CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java backend or middle-tier development experience.
• Extensive experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and enterprise middleware or application-server technologies such as WebLogic, JBoss, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD, or build automation.
• Experience working with XML and JSON.
• Experience with APIs, application integrations, and service-to-service interactions.
• Cloud experience with OCI, Azure, AWS, or another cloud platform.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, participate in code reviews, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• XSLT experience is preferred.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software development tools is a plus.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is looking for a Principal Application Software Engineer to help develop and evolve TDMS, a mission‑critical software suite supporting manufacturing test-record management.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $99,600 - $209,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
