Job description

At KLAS, every role contributes to our mission: improve healthcare by amplifying truth through collaboration, insights, and transparency. The insights we produce influence how healthcare providers evaluate technology, make strategic decisions, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

As a Principal Analyst, you won’t just analyze research; you’ll transform complex findings into the narratives that shape how the healthcare industry understands its challenges and opportunities. You’ll work at the intersection of research, storytelling, and industry leadership, turning provider perspectives and market data into trusted insights used by healthcare executives.

What You’ll Do
  • Transform qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, structured deliverables such as strategic reports, deep-dive analyses, frameworks, and market overviews.
  • Synthesize complex inputs into compelling, insight-driven stories that help healthcare leaders understand what matters—and what to do next.
  • Drive the creation of major research deliverables, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the strategic direction set by the Group Director.
  • Present key findings to healthcare leaders, guiding conversations around market dynamics, strategy, and industry change.
  • Represent KLAS externally. Contribute to webinars, conferences, and industry discussions as a visible thought leader.
  • Mentor Senior Analysts by helping them develop stronger synthesis, writing, and narrative-building skills.
  • Partner with Group Directors to refine research roadmaps and strengthen the insight narrative within your market domain.
  • Work closely with Engagement, Sales, Marketing, and Content Support to ensure KLAS insights are clearly communicated and widely impactful.
  • Stay close to the provider voice. Participate in provider research conversations and ongoing market analysis to deepen your understanding of healthcare challenges and opportunities.
What You Bring
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to craft compelling executive-level narratives.
  • Strong analytical synthesis and editorial judgment.
  • 6–10 years of experience in healthcare research, consulting, advisory, or a related field.
  • Experience presenting insights to senior stakeholders or producing externally facing thought leadership.
  • Deep subject‑matter expertise within healthcare markets, ideally within provider or health IT ecosystems.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health Policy, Business Strategy, Communications, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree (MPH, MBA, MHA) is preferred but not required.

The salary range for this role starts at $130,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. We offer exceptional benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, HSA with company match, 401K with company match, PTO, and more.

All employees undergo a comprehensive internal education program to gain knowledge of the healthcare information technology industry and KLAS’ methodology. Learn more about us at www.klasresearch.com.
