Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build next‑generation AI systems for production reliability. You will own the end‑to‑end development of an AI agent that autonomously investigates production incidents, identifies root causes, creates safe mitigation plans, and executes them under human supervision.

This hands-on senior IC role blends deep infrastructure expertise with practical AI application, directly shipping production systems at Meta scale.

Qualifications

BSCS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
12+ years building and operating large-scale distributed or infrastructure systems.
Experience applying AI or ML to production problems.
Experience moving from concept to production deployment with measurable impact.
Experience coding in C++, Java, Python, Rust or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Define the technical vision and architecture for agentic reliability systems across Meta.
Personally design, code, and ship production agentic systems for complex infrastructure problems.
Lead the development of an AI agent for production incident investigation and mitigation.
Develop improvements in agent reasoning, context, tool use, planning, and safe execution.
Build evaluation/experimentation systems connecting agent quality to outcomes.
