Job description

Job ID: 10530586 | Amazon Data Services, Inc.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of technical infrastructure program managers, software engineers, data specialists, supply chain specialists, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for planning and execution while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) designs, delivers, and operates the global data-center fleet that powers every AWS service. Our servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling assets in more than 245 countries and territories. We tackle some of the world’s most complex supply-chain problems so our customers can innovate without limits.

In this team you will drive end to end planning for a wide portfolio of AI/ML servers. You will engage with senior leaders and working teams across a wide variety of functional areas on the necessary inputs that enable landing of servers in data centers in time to meet customer demand. You will drive short, medium, and long term planning efforts and engage with software teams to deliver systems that optimize the planning process. To deliver the right outcomes, you will need to implement strong mechanisms to identify defects and create feedback loops to the appropriate teams. Ability to engage with the most senior levels in the AWS organization, both in written and verbal form is critical.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of program management, tech program management, or related experience
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products
  • 4+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, Information Systems, or other related discipline
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure
  • Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks, deployment or development
  • Experience performing complex business case analysis to justify technical decisions and presenting the justification to management in a high-level review
  • Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
  • Experience working with Advanced Compute technologies including, but not limited to: Accelerated Compute, High Performance Compute, Visual/Spatial Compute, and/or IoT.
  • Master's degree or above in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, management, or technology
