Talentsearch seeks a Staff/Principal-level engineer to lead an AI platform in production, focusing on autonomous agents and scalable backend systems. You’ll influence architecture, agent reasoning, task coordination, and reliable decision making while choosing the best tools for the job.

You’ll join a growing team with ownership over what and how we build, leveraging strong Python skills and flexible technology choices.

Qualifications

• Staff or Principal-level software engineer with a track record shipping complex production systems.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered AI agents in production.
• Strong Python development skills and backend/distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with agent orchestration, tool or function calling, and multi-step autonomous workflows.
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation, tracing, debugging, and improving agent reliability.

About the role

You’ll lead work on an AI platform that’s already in production, improving its autonomous agents and helping shape its architecture. You’ll tackle questions like how agents reason, coordinate tasks, and make reliable decisions, and how we measure how well they perform.

You’ll join a growing engineering team with a real say in what we build and how we build it. Beyond strong Python skills, we’re flexible about technologies: you’ll help choose the right tools for the problem.

Fully REMOTE

Equity: $500,000 – $700,000 / year

Total Comp Package $700,000 - 1,000,000 (annual salary + equity)

Must Have

• You have a Staff or Principal-level software engineering background and a strong track record of building and shipping complex production systems.
• You have hands‑on experience building and deploying LLM-powered AI agents in production.
• You have strong Python development skills and backend and distributed systems engineering fundamentals.
• You have experience with agent orchestration, tool or function calling, and multi‑step autonomous workflows.
• You have familiarity with LLM evaluation, tracing, debugging, and improving agent reliability.

Important

• You have experience integrating LLMs with APIs, databases, retrieval systems, and external tools.
• You have strong technical judgment, ownership, and the ability to independently design and ship complex systems.

Nice to Have

• You have experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agent orchestration tools.
• You have experience with multi‑agent coordination, RAG, vector databases, or agent memory systems.
• You have a background in AI infrastructure, developer tools, cloud platforms, enterprise automation, or distributed systems.
• You have experience building human-in-the-loop systems or agents capable of taking real-world actions.
