Job summary

Constellation is seeking a Principal IT Architect in the United States to lead architecture efforts across projects, guiding infrastructure, governance, and AI strategy. You will champion Responsible AI practices, collaborate with IT and business leadership, and shape the architecture portfolio to support diverse applications and services.

The role demands extensive experience with AI/ML, Azure, and security, plus strong communication and mentoring skills and a willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• 10+ years of technical experience designing, developing, and delivering medium to large scale software solutions.
• 5+ years of AI/ML design, development, and delivery experience.
• Experience using Microsoft technologies and Azure components.
• Recognized SME in Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and security expertise to IT and business teams to identify security technology solutions and develop security reference architectures and strategies to achieve business results.
• Manage intake channels for evaluating proposed and active implementations of AI across stages from ideation to design and development.
• Ensure appropriate implementation of technology within development and production environments via Responsible AI processes.
• Advise IT and Business leadership in developing strategic information technology plans supporting AI strategies.
• Establish and enhance relationships with business and IT partners.
• Communicate status to stakeholders in partnership with the Responsible AI program lead.
• Participate in governance to ensure AI deliverables exceed governance standards.
• Stay informed on trends in AI/ML and assess potential business impact.
• Provide coaching/mentorship for IT personnel and support career development.
