Job summary

Teradata Corporation seeks an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to design and deploy AI-native agentic workflows across the Teradata AI Platform, improving engineering productivity and system reliability. You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into telemetry, CI/CD, and cloud tooling.

The role requires 8+ years in software engineering with AI/ML, strong Python skills, and experience with distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with production AI/ML systems.
• Proven experience building AI agents or autonomous workflows, not just APIs.
• Strong Python programming and at least one of Java or Go.
• Experience with distributed systems, telemetry, and observability architectures.
• Foundational AI skills including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of AI-native agentic workflows to boost productivity and observability.
• Architect AI-driven agents that reason, analyze, and act across telemetry, apps, and workflows.
• Build AI agents for observability, root-cause analysis, anomaly detection, and efficiency.
• Design workflows spanning telemetry pipelines, applications, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop tooling to accelerate development velocity and reduce operational toil.
• Apply LLMs and reasoning frameworks to automate complex debugging and diagnostics.
• Drive AI-native development practices across apps, tooling, and platform engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed intelligent automation into CI/CD, DevOps, and support workflows.
• Apply foundational AI skills to enhance productivity and impact across teams.
