Job Description
The Principal Engineer (New Product Integration) is responsible for the execution of successful product release and delivery of the next generation of S&C products. This role will work as the hands‑on operations hub, leading cross‑functional teams and driving major projects to meet company targets. In this role, you will provide technical solutions to ensure a flawless transition from product concept through process implementation and manufacturing stability.
Compensation
Estimated annual base salary range: $154,968 - $205,332.6. Individual pay within this range is determined by performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and education. This role is eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP) subject to eligibility criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional project teams to execute release of next‑generation products and solutions.
- Partner with product development to create and maintain project plans that launch scalable new products.
- Collaborate with product design to ensure products meet Design for Manufacture, Assembly and Automation (DFMA) requirements.
- Lead project team through Production Preparedness Process (3P) events to design, prototype, build, and implement manufacturing processes that meet SQDC performance targets.
- Support identification, negotiation and selection of suppliers and vendor partners, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company goals.
- Mentor team members to improve competencies of Manufacturing Engineers and project teams.
- Present project statuses to leadership using data‑driven analysis and recommend strategic changes when needed.
- Own project capital budgets of $10M+ and manage cash flows to financial targets.
- Collaborate and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance engineering processes and improve customer satisfaction.
- Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules.

Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Certifications & Licenses
- Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
- Design for Manufacture, Assembly and Automation (DFMA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- 10+ years of experience delivering major new products to market within a high‑volume, high‑mix or semi‑automated manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in value stream mapping, lean six‑sigma manufacturing, and process design.
- Record of successfully integrating new products from spec development to quality and compliance validation.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills.
- Business acumen and analytical skills with data‑driven decision making.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build trustful relationships.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting – continuously in a stationary position for hours at a time.
- Walking – occasionally required to walk moderate distances across the campus.
- Lifting – infrequently required to lift supplies weighing 5 to 20 pounds.
- Observation/Eyesight – infrequently required to observe details at close range.
- Communication – frequently required to talk and hear, in person and by phone/conference calls.
- Travel – infrequent travel, potential overnight stays, and extended hours.
