Job summary

Divine Savior Holy Angels High School seeks a Principal to lead the academic and student life of a premier Catholic secondary school in Milwaukee. The Principal will articulate a clear vision, guide instructional excellence, and uphold the school’s charism and Catholic identity.

Reporting to the President, the Principal will lead a faculty of over sixty, oversee accreditation and student services, and advance a strong sense of community and belonging within the Salvatorian Family House System.

Qualifications

• Must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church and able to articulate Catholic social teaching.
• Master's degree in educational leadership, administration, or a related field.
• Significant progressive leadership experience in a school setting, ordinarily seven or more years.
• Demonstrated experience supervising, evaluating, and developing faculty.
• Evidence of instructional leadership that improved teaching quality or student outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead academic growth in partnership with an experienced faculty.

• Sustain and develop the Salvatorian Family House System and belonging.
• Oversee accreditation and ensure compliance with Cognia, Archdiocese, and Wisconsin standards.
• Be present and known to students, faculty, and families.

The Opportunity

DSHA seeks a Principal to lead the academic and student life of one of the strongest Catholic secondary schools in the country. Above all, DSHA seeks a leader who will carry forward the charism of the Sisters of the Divine Savior and the Catholic values at the heart of this school. The Principal reports to the President, serves on the Senior Team, and leads a faculty and staff of more than sixty.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a minister of the Church and a visible faith leader to students, faculty, families, and the wider community
• Set and articulate a clear vision for where the academic program needs to go, and lead the school there
• Serve as instructional leader and continue taking teaching and learning to the highest levels
• Recruit, hire, evaluate, develop, and retain an outstanding faculty
• Lead faculty formation in the Salvatorian charism and in Catholic identity
• Oversee student life, student services, campus ministry, athletics, and co-curricular programs
• Sustain and develop the Salvatorian Family House System and the sense of belonging it creates
• Oversee accreditation and ensure the school meets or exceeds all standards of Cognia, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and the State of Wisconsin
• Be present and accessible in the daily life of the school, known to students by name and familiar to faculty and families
