As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer for the Released Product Engineering group, you will be part of the Advanced Energy engineering team. You will focus on driving design integrity across multiple Vessel Sealing and Dissection product lines to attain business goals consistent with cost, high quality, reliability and delivery requirements. Interacts with other functions within Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory across the organization to support change management, drive quality, and improve existing processes for new and mature products. You will join a team of engineers, responsible for driving design ownership and integrity for our LigaSure™ and Sonicision™ product lines under the Core Surgical Innovations umbrella within Medtronic. This role will work cross‑functionally and communicate with others for feedback and decision making to ensure safety and efficiency across our programs.

An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $131,200.00 - $168,000. This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
