Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is hiring a Sr. Maintenance Technician in Corporate Operations, Prime Air in Durham, NC. This role focuses on drive time-based and condition-based maintenance, owning fleet performance metrics, and ensuring FAA compliance across Prime Air directives.

You will manage parts inventory and mentor other repair technicians, while supervising shift rosters to maintain safety and reliability. Candidates should be prepared for up to 25% travel, long shifts, and a strong safety mindset as

Key job responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities

This role requires the ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand / walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.

This role requires the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

This role requires travel, up to 25% of the time.

Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicant's DOT drug and/or alcohol testing history prior to hiring him/her into a position that would require them to conduct safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, ie. Word, Excel, etc.)
