Job summary

White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa LLC is seeking a Primary Therapist for a full-time temporary position in Florida. You will manage a patient caseload and deliver group, individual, and family therapy, while coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team.

Ideal applicants will have a Master's degree in a human services field and licensure in Florida; CAP or MCAP certifications are a plus, with CPR and weekend/holiday availability considered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Human Services field (Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related)
• Florida Clinical Licensure: LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred
• CAP or MCAP certification preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience with mental health and substance use disorders
• Knowledge of substance use treatment and co-occurring disorders
• CPR certification maintained throughout employment
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other team members.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment goals accordingly.
• Educate patients and families about addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and resources.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning.
