POSITION FUNCTION/OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for a caseload of clients and families. Accordingly, they will assess and identify clinical issues for each family and create clear objectives and goals. Therapists will also track and document client and family progress in case reports while working to meet all required internal and external standards and policies .

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote the mission, values and vision of the organization.

Provide excellent customer service for clients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and other required clinical evaluations.

Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on each patient's identified needs, strengths, and treatment goals.

Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.

Previous experience in an inpatient psychiatric, crisis stabilization, behavioral health, or substance use treatment setting is preferred.

Knowledge of biopsychosocial assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, group facilitation, and discharge planning.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Maintains a professional, respectful, flexible, and patient-centered attitude.

Ability to respond calmly and appropriately during crisis situations.

SKILLS:

Knowledge of state and federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws and workplace policies.

Ability to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, etc.

Manage multiple tasks; a bility to work accurately, with attention to detail.

Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.

Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
