Job summary

RD Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Analytical Chemist to perform a broad range of analytical testing on pharmaceutical products and raw materials using GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and dissolution methods.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to cGMPs, accurate documentation, and high-quality data interpretation. The candidate will read and interpret procedures, summarize results in scientific reports, maintain lab equipment and supplies, and may train or supervise junior staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree (M.S.) in Chemistry with 5+ years in a cGMP analytical lab preferred.
• Minimum: B.A./B.S. in science with extensive chemistry coursework and 7+ years in an analytical lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex analytical procedures using wet chemistry, GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and Dissolution.
• Read, interpret and document analytical procedures and results.
• Provide expert data interpretation and compare results to specifications or trends.

Experienced Analytical Chemist

Primary Functions / Responsibilities

• Perform a large variety of routine and complex analytical procedures in the analysis of pharmaceutical products and raw materials by various testing techniques including but not limited to Wet Chemistry, GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and Dissolution etc.
• Perform analysis in accordance to cGMPs
• Read, understand and interpret analytical procedures
• Document work clearly and perform test accurately
• Provide expert interpretation of data and compare results to established specifications or anticipated trends
• Summarize laboratory results and prepare scientific reports
• Maintain laboratory facilities, equipment and orders supplies
• Assist in other tasks and laboratory work as assigned
• May assist in training and/or supervision of laboratory technicians and chemists
• Work independently and as part of a scientific team

Job Requirements

• Expert knowledge of laboratory apparatus and equipment and a variety of laboratory techniques
• Extensive HPLC and/or GC experience in cGMP or related industry
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Works independently with a minimum of supervision, self-motivated
• Ability to perform work with accuracy and in accordance with established procedures
• Document work in compliance with cGMP and company procedures
• Attention to safety requirements in performance of duties

Required Education / Experience / Training
