Position Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Non-Operative Sports Medicine Physician to join the growing team at OIBortho. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in treating musculoskeletal injuries, improving athletic performance, and promoting overall wellness.

Core Duties And Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, focusing on non-surgical interventions.
• Order and interpret the results of diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays and MRIs, and laboratory tests to inform treatment plans.
• Develop personalized treatment plans, including physical therapy, injections, and other non-operative procedures.
• Provide sports medicine evaluations and injury management for athletes of all levels.
• Provide on-site medical coverage during sporting events at local high schools and universities to deliver immediate care for injuries sustained during competition.
• Provide medical coverage in the urgent care clinic as directed.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in sports medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Sports Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (with Sports Medicine fellowship training).
• Experience in managing a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries, with a focus on non-operative treatment options.
