The Dimock Center is seeking a Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our adult medicine team in Roxbury, MA, delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care within a federally qualified community health setting.

The ideal candidate will integrate preventive and chronic care with a multidisciplinary team and will contribute to teaching, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Physician: MD or DO with residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Licensed Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Board certified or board eligible; MA licensure; DEA registration as applicable; BLS within 90 days.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care with preventive, chronic, and acute care.
  • Coordinate diagnostic studies, transitions from hospital/ED, and referrals with the team.
  • Maintain timely documentation in the EHR.
  • Participate in quality improvement, population health, and clinic initiatives.
  • Lead projects aligned with clinical interests and community health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to address medical, behavioral, and social needs.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring within The Dimock Center and academic partnerships.

The Dimock Center Adult Medicine Department is seeking a Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care to our diverse urban community.

Summary/Objective

The Primary Care Provider will manage a panel of patients and provide comprehensive primary care with the collaboration and support of an integrated team that includes behavioral health clinicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical professionals.

Essential Functions
  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, integrating preventive, chronic disease, and acute care.
  • Manage and follow up on diagnostic studies, hospital and emergency department transitions, and specialty referrals with team support.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in and contribute to quality improvement, population health, and clinic-based initiatives.
  • Identify and lead projects aligned with individual clinical interests and opportunities to improve patient and community health.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and address patients' medical, behavioral, and social needs.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring opportunities within The Dimock Center and through our academic training partnerships.

Required Qualifications
  • Physician: MD or DO with completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Licensed Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Board certified or board eligible.
  • Current Massachusetts medical or advanced practice licensure.
  • DEA registration and Massachusetts controlled substance registration, as applicable.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
